We will learn different world cultures through making masks and dolls. Masks represent faces of ancient countries and their people. We will learn art, culture and traditions while making clay masks and decorating them with beads, feathers, fabric and more. We will also create our own dolls/figurines of a picked culture. We will play with various materials, reuse, repurpose and recreate to make our very own doll sculptures. We will use beads, buttons, felt, yarn and so much more, children will sure enjoy decorating their sculptures with the most fun supplies!
In this class we will gladly use any beads (old earrings, necklaces or loose bracelets) Feel free to bring fabric, cool old broken ceramics or anything that can be re-purposed into a piece of art. If you are not sure, please bring it anyway, we will see if we can reuse any of it and if not, we will send it back.
