Hi, my name is Lika Gitis! I'm the owner and one of the instructors at the studio. While my formal education includes a degree in art, my true learning has come from 18 years of working with kids and teaching them the joy of art. I firmly believe that every child hods untapped creativity, and with the right support and encouragement, each one can blossom into a great artist!

our story:
We have started the studio back in 2001 as a tiny art space at my parent's basement. My mom was in charge of the studio and I was just a teenager. Soon I've started teaching and helping my mom with younger kids and during the summers. We only had a handful of students who were mostly Russian children that have just moved to USA and didn't speak English.
In 2010 we have opened an official studio under Sunflower Art Studio brand and our creative life started spinning. Since then we have changed few locations and were very lucky to find our current Gunbarrel space.The number of students has also grown and we are now a big family of artists. We have some students that are now teachers at the studio.
