StrUctured COURSES THIS SPRING
Our 7-8 week courses are designed for children who are looking for a specific subject or technique to learn. This semester we offer two different courses for children 8 and UP.
Our new Re-purpose Monday Class is all about using fine art and combining it with regular everyday objects such as t-shirts, pillows, books, etc. We will be making and using organic self-made dies to give fabrics new look and feel, then print right on the material, using potatoes as our "linocuts" Then we will sew and stitch them, creating new designs! We literally can't wait!!!
This semester we are very excited to introduce our students to a watercolor class. In this class students will be introduced to various watercolor techniques, using professional watercolor supplies.
Students will learn how to mix colors, use the spraying technique, salt, how to use wet and dry mediums. Projects include: 3-D painting of a fruit, a landscape, skies and clouds, how to paint reflections.
REALISTIC PORTRAIT DRAWING
Something that every child wants to learn about and is afraid about. Well.. nothing to be afraid of, in this class we will make the process of learning proportions as fun and easy as possible.
Our students will learn about face proportions, head tilts, skull anatomy. Our final project will be a fully drawn and shaded realistic self-portrait! We will use regular pencils, markers, color pencils and ink to make it as creative and fun going as possible!
